I don’t always share my personal experiences with Valor products, but SunDay Mineral Barrier Balm is one I recently put to the test on a trip to Maui.
From hiking at 10,000 feet on Haleakalā to surfing 1–2 foot waves at the Cove and spending time at Baby Beach on the north shore, SunDay came along for a little bit of everything.
We formulated SunDay with a specific purpose: mineral sun protection that feels comfortable on your skin, doesn’t sting your eyes, and stays put through sweat and time in the water. Because when you’re outside, the last thing you want is sunscreen running into your eyes while you’re moving, paddling, or trying to enjoy the moment.
We also believe sun protection starts with knowing your own skin. Everyone’s skin has different needs and different limits when it comes to sun exposure. Pay attention to how your skin responds, and don’t rely on sunscreen alone to stay out longer than your skin can comfortably handle. Seek shade, wear a hat, cover up with sun-protective clothing, and know when it’s time to get out of the sun. We see SunDay as one tool in a bigger approach to protection—not a reason to push past your limits.
On Maui, I used SunDay across all of these different conditions, and I came home without a sunburn. For me, that’s a meaningful real-world experience with a product we put a lot of thought into creating.
At Valor, we think of skincare as functional gear for life outside. The goal isn’t a complicated routine or another thing to think about. It’s having tools you can rely on so you can spend more time doing what you love, while being thoughtful about protecting your skin.
SunDay is one of those tools. Take it hiking, bring it surfing, or keep it close for days spent outside.
Explore SunDay Mineral Barrier Balm and take a little protection with you.
